Welcome to Marée & Co., where coastal elegance meets timeless craftsmanship. Our name, Marée (pronounced muh-ray, with a gentle roll of the tongue), is the French word for “tide,” evoking the rhythmic beauty and enduring strength of the ocean. While also giving a nod to our French heritage. 

Inspired by the rugged shores of Maine, each handbag we create is a labor of love, handcrafted to reflect the artistry and resilience of the sea.

Marée & Co was born on the wooded trails and salt-air shores of coastal Maine—where simplicity, sustainability, and soul still matter. What began as one woman’s search for a handbag that was both beautiful and ethical became a quiet movement toward more intentional living.

Every piece we create is handcrafted in Maine using cork—one of the most renewable and sustainable materials on the planet. Lightweight, durable, and naturally water-resistant, cork is our way of rethinking what fashion can be: rooted in nature, elevated in design, and deeply kind to the planet.
